| Simple
Operation The IC-718 is equipped with a minimum number of control knobs and switches. The 10-keys pad allows to directly enter an operating frequency, or a memory channel. The auto dialing step and band stacking register are very convinient to dial through the bands. The IC-718 has 0.03~29.9999 Mhz receiving band and all amateur HF bands easily controlled by most inexperienced operator. The large front mounted speaker provides loud and clear audio without impending during operation. An electronic CW key with variable dash/dot ratio is built-in. VOX feature is included as well. RF gain control is combined with the squelch control. The RF gain adjusts minimum response receiver gain, and ignores signals weaker than the pre-set level. |
