FT-50R Super wide band receive
Receiver coverage includes 76~200 MHz (VHF), 300~540 Mhz (UHF) and 590~999 MHz (Cellular blocked).

MIL STD 810 rated
The FT-50/10/40R HTs have all rated for MIL STD 810. Build to rigid commercial-grade radio standards, these handhelds are designed to withstand the rigors of shock, vibration, and corrosive action of dust and moisture. Water resistant construction utilizing weather-proof gaskets, seal major internal components.

Digital Code Squelch (DCS)
The DCS system included on the FT-50/10/40R is similar to CTCSS tone squelch as it uses subaudible tones.

Memory channels
The FT-50R has 112 memory channels. Ft10/40R handhelds have either 99 or 30 memory channels depending on optional keypad model installed.

Auto Range Transpond System (ARTS™)
The ARTS uses DCS to allow two radios to automatically track one another every 25 seconds.
